Getting ourselves in good working order starts with understanding our authentic selves and learning how to manage difficult feelings.

All of us are figuring out how to come to terms with the disappointing reality that human beings are flawed (including you and me). Clients seek treatment when they are muddling through difficult setbacks, navigating complicated relationships, and seeking to feel more resilient.

My training has helped me delve deeply into areas that are challenging for us all: listening deeply without distractions; tolerating difficult feelings; sitting in the presence of pain without needing to quickly make it go away. In doing so, and in leading clients down a similar path, we work toward making lasting, meaningful changes.

I combine my clinical training as a therapist with my own work experience in both corporate and non-profit organizations. I welcome the opportunity to understand your story and learn what success looks like for you: at home, at work and in life. Together, we can strengthen your ability to understand yourself, to change and to move forward.

We'll go beneath your presenting problems in order to discover and treat what's really at stake. This includes identifying your go-to thought patterns, preoccupations, and unmet needs.

We'll work together to understand your values, your goals, and explore ways you might want to change patterns and behaviors that are no longer working for you. Over time you'll develop strategies to feel less overwhelmed by painful feelings, modify behaviors that might be getting in your own way, and make changes in your thoughts and your life that bring you closer to the version of yourself you’d like to be.

The point will be for you to take our work with you after we say goodbye and to continue to reap the benefits through life's ups and downs.
